Blain’s Farm & Fleet Recognized by Forbes As One of America’s Best Employers For Third Year

JANESVILLE, Wis.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Blain’s Farm & Fleet is honored to announce that they have been named one of “America’s Best Midsize Employers” by Forbes magazine for the third year in a row. Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to identify which companies are best at making their employees feel happy, inspired, and well-compensated. In addition to being recognized as one of the Top 500 Midsize Employers in America, Blain’s Farm & Fleet was ranked 17th among all “Retail and Wholesale” companies in the US.

“As a family-owned company, we’ve fostered an environment where we treat our associates like family and our customers like neighbors. So, we are thrilled to be recognized for the third time in a row by Forbes magazine as one of America’s Best Employers,” says Jane Blain Gilbertson, Owner, President, and CEO of Blain’s Farm & Fleet. “We are honored that, while undergoing an unprecedented pandemic, our associates continue to enjoy working at Blain’s Farm & Fleet alongside each other, their managers and our customers as they provide essential goods to the community.”

Forbes surveyed more than 50,000 full- and part-time employees in America across 25 industries. The survey was conducted through online access panels to ensure respondents were anonymous and able to freely give their opinions without company influence. Participants were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their employer to acquaintances and evaluated other employers in similar industries. Participants answered questions such as working conditions, salary, the potential for development and company image.

This is the third year in a row that Blain’s Farm & Fleet has been honored as one of “America’s Best Midsize Employers” – those with between 1,000 and 5,000 employees. They were first recognized in 2018 and again in 2019. In 2020, Forbes did not conduct the research or publish a list due to the pandemic. With the survey’s return in 2021, Blain’s Farm & fleet has been recognized for the third time.

“When my father and uncle first founded Blain’s Farm & Fleet over 65 years ago, they always treated their associates like an extension of our family. Especially during the pandemic, knowing our associate family had so many things to manage in their own lives as well as their work lives, we made their health and safety our top priority,” says Blain Gilbertson. “Whether shopping online, in-store, or using our drive-thru, we want our customers to have the same great, safe experience. That begins with a company culture where employees care about each other and the neighbors they serve. This Forbes’ award honors our culture, and I am personally touched because this selection comes directly from our own associates and for that I am especially grateful.”

“We’re very proud of this recognition because it comes from our associates,” says Dennis Armstrong, Chief Human Resources Officer of Blain’s Farm & Fleet. “It’s important to us that they feel as if they are a part of a team, part of our family and take pride in serving our customers and communities. We are always looking for more team members to join us and invite interested people to apply to be part of this amazing company. We are a great place to work and make a career!” Blain’s Farm & Fleet offers many different opportunities to grow a career company-wide.
