Leggat Automotive Group, a Company Built on Innovation, Community, and Customer Service, Marks its First 100 Years, and the Next Century to Come

BURLINGTON, Ontario–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Leggat Automotive Group, a family-owned collection of car dealerships, marks 100 years of delivering a full range of automotive services to communities in southern Ontario.

To chronicle this significant milestone, Leggat Auto Group announces its new brand – Drive Life. Drive Life denotes Leggat’s continued commitment to building trusting, long-lasting relationships with customers by providing best-in-class automotive experiences. The company will also launch a celebratory charitable initiative, whereby Leggat employees pick local charities to receive support from the Leggat Care Foundation.

“Throughout our 100 years, we have proudly supported dozens of local charities with financial and hands-on contributions. Our success is owed entirely to our trusting customers, and we look forward to strengthening the places they live, work, and raise their families,” said Brian Leggat, CEO of the group.

Doug Leggat, father of Brian and second-generation owner of the auto group, added, “I’m excited to share this moment with our customers and our staff. They are important to us, and they are part of the family. That’s how we’ve always looked at it.”

The 100th anniversary is a remarkable milestone for a company that began when Roy Leggat, father to Doug, left his family farm with $3,000 and a dream, opening his first automobile dealership in 1922. From selling Ruggles trucks, to providing a vast selection of automotive brands with vehicles to fit every lifestyle, Leggat Automotive Group looks forward to the next 100 years of Driving Life.
