Barrett-Jackson Holds Record-Breaking 2024 Scottsdale Auction with $207.6 Million in Total Auction Sales, Most in Company History

  • 2,016 No Reserve vehicles achieve a total of $200.9 million in auction sales with a 100 percent sell-through rate.
  • 1,180 pieces of authentic automobilia were auctioned for a robust $6.7 million.
  • $1 million raised for charity with the sale of four charity vehicles.
  • More than 190 world-record auction sales were achieved.
  • Rock ‘n’ roll legends Sammy Hagar, Foreigner and Night Ranger took to the live music stage throughout the week.

  3. 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster (Lot #1371.1) – $2,420,000
  4. 2005 Porsche Carrera GT (Lot #1381) – $1,870,000
  5. 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder (Lot #1405) – $1,787,500
  6. 2012 Lexus LFA Nürburgring (Lot #1380) – $1,650,000
  7. 2019 Ford GT (Lot #1399) – $1,375,000
  8. 2017 Ferrari F12 TDF (Lot #1386) – $1,347,500
  9. 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Convertible built by Jeff Hayes (Lot #1367) – $1,100,000
  10. 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster (Lot #1407), previously owned by Donald J. Trump – $1,100,000

The automotive lifestyle event kicked off with its inaugural “Rock the Block” concert presented by Arizona Lottery featuring live performances from iconic rock bands Foreigner and Night Ranger. Highlights of the opening weekend included: Barrett-Jackson’s QuikTrip Family Day, designed to bring in the next generation of enthusiasts with STEM Fest presented by Honeywell; the introduction of the coveted Barrett-Jackson Cup presented by Castrol; a Pinewood Derby with Boy Scouts from the Grand Canyon Council; and the second iteration of the Future Collector Car Show presented by Meguiar’s at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

The first weekend concluded with the Opening Night Gala, an annual celebration that marks the beginning of Barrett-Jackson’s auction week. The Gala, a renowned automotive lifestyle event, featured dozens of law enforcement officers from the Scottsdale Police Department being honored and the presenting of colors, as well as acclaimed live entertainment from Emerald City Band and DJ Munition, gourmet food and signature cocktails.

“Our Scottsdale Auction showcased the vibrancy of the collector car hobby,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “With over 2,000 vehicles, this was the largest entirely No Reserve public consignment auction for collector cars in history. Jaw-dropping Resto-Mods, customs, trucks and supercars crossed the block among exceptional concours-level classics, giving every generation of collectors an opportunity to buy their dream car.

“With so many other aspects to the weekend, from Thrill Rides and hundreds of exhibitors to live concerts, Barrett-Jackson is a ‘bucket-list’ event. The Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction is a phenomenon that everyone is proud of, especially after this record-breaking week.”

Several of the most powerful moments during the 2024 Scottsdale Auction included the sales of four charity vehicles that together raised $1 million. The charity vehicles that sold during the Barrett- Jackson 2024 Scottsdale Auction include:

  1. 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 3LZ (Lot #3000) – $270,000 to benefit the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation for Amyloidosis Research, including $50,000 donated by philanthropist and longtime member of the Barrett-Jackson family, Michelle Mauzy.
  2. 1968 Shelby GT350 Convertible Re-Creation (Lot #3001) – $100,000 to benefit the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation by providing scholarships to students enrolled in the Carroll Shelby Automotive Program.
  3. 2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Custom Pickup (Lot #3002) – $325,000 to benefit Building Homes for Heroes, including $50,000 donated by Mauzy and an additional $25,000 from Barrett-Jackson President Steve Davis.
  4. 2024 Ford Mustang Darkhorse VIN 001 (Lot #3003) – $375,000 to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, including $50,000 donated by Mauzy and $25,000 from The Elayne Snyder Acts 20:35 Foundation.

With 1,180 authentic pieces of automobilia auctioning for $6.7 million, the top three automobilia sales included:

  1. 1960s Cougar Oil of Alabama double-sided porcelain service station sign (Lot #9470) – $155,250
  2. 1960s Mopar neon porcelain channel letter sign (Lot #9493.1) – $115,000
  3. Circa 1940s-50s Mobil Oil neon porcelain rotating Pegasus sign (Lot #9489.4) – $105,800

During the week, entertainment icons, professional athletes and titans of the industry joined auction guests to indulge in the world’s most immersive automotive lifestyle event. Celebrities in attendance included musicians such as Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Chase Rice; entertainment icons such as Daymond John, Rob Schneider, Adam Ferrara and David Spade; automotive industry personalities Danny Coker, Chip Foose and Aaron Shelby; as well as current and former professional athletes including Larry Fitzgerald, Bill Goldberg, Kyle Larson, Paul Tracy, Kurt Busch, Dustin May, Tony Gonsolin, Jacoby Ellsbury, Marco Estrada and members of the Arizona Ridge Riders PBR team.
