Clarience Technologies Earns 2022 Wabash Platinum Award for Supply Chain Excellence

This is the 10th win for Clarience Technologies and reinforces its technology alliance with Wabash

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Clarience Technologies, a global leader in transportation technology and parent company to Truck-Lite, Road Ready advanced telematics, DAVCO filtration systems and Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.), has been awarded a 2022 Wabash Platinum Award.

The award recognizes Wabash suppliers for excellence in supply chain performance, considering criteria such as innovation, quality, delivery, cost and service. This is the tenth time the company has been recognized with the Wabash Platinum award.

“Strong customer relationships like that we established with Wabash are built by demanding quality in everything we do,” said Brian Kupchella, CEO of Clarience Technologies. “We are proud of the work we’ve done to support Wabash, and we look forward to continuing to deliver them our best well into the future.”

Clarience Technologies serves Wabash through three of its businesses. Truck-Lite, recognized as the leader in LED lighting systems for commercial transportation, has been supplying LED lighting and harnesses for trailer and van bodies to Wabash for more than 20 years, while more recently Road Ready has provided advanced trailer telematics solutions — its system became standard equipment on all Wabash dealer stock trailers earlier this year. Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.) also supplies indirectly to Wabash through its equipment on Meritor axles.

“As our companies are accelerating their new product development pace, innovators like Wabash are pushing to get these solutions on the road,” said Jon Stineman, Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales for Clarience Technologies. “We expect commercial fleets will continue to benefit from collaboration between our two companies.”

Two Industry Leaders Join Forces to Innovate Commercial Transportation

In March, Clarience Technologies and Wabash announced their technology alliance focused on trailer applications, including new advanced connectivity applications that will be essential as electric and autonomous vehicles come to market. As a first step, Road Ready advanced telematics, now in its fifth year of production and experiencing exponential demand from customers, is now installed first fit on new Wabash trailers.

Road Ready is “advanced” trailer telematics because it goes well beyond asset tracking, delivering actionable insights to fleets from trailers in active operation. Insights are drawn from data generated from a variety of sensor types installed throughout the trailer, enabling fleets to have line of sight into everything from temperature, weight distribution, volumetric cargo capacity, rear door status and more.

For the Wabash dealer body, this alliance brings an industry-leading factory-installed smart trailer offering. Road Ready is the most comprehensive trailer connectivity solution on the market today, and Clarience Technologies has continued to make investments in the Road Ready business to ensure its solutions continue to be the best in the industry.
