Hamilton, Ontario —A number of Ontario collision shop owners were treated to a masterclass in leading-edge glass repair procedure as Uniban Canada hosted its first technical training session of the year at the Driven Brands Canada technical training centre in Hamilton, Ont.
The day’s programming was lead by Uniban’s dedicated technical trainer, Willy Williams, who walked attendees through several hands-on activities, including measuring, scoring and cutting flat glass.
They also worked on three different types of glass including AS1 windshield quality, AS2 side window and AS3 back window glass.
Uniban Canada’s president, Maurice Fillion, spoke to the need for technicians to stay up-to-date on their knowledge of glass technology, in Thursday’s press release.
“The technology embedded in automotive glass is getting more sophisticated with each passing year so it’s important to stay ahead of these industry advancements,” said Filion.
“By hosting educational courses for a variety of topics, we’re able to help our network of owners drive performance advancements back in their facilities.”
