Toronto, Ontario — The third leg of the Body & Paint World Championships kicks off this Tuesday at an Automechanika conference in Shanghai, China.
Previous heats have been held in the U.K. and in South Africa.
Held in the midlands city of Birmingham, the first stage of this contest took place at Automechanika Birmingham from 4 to 6 June 2019.
Five workshop teams presented their designs at the event, which recieved headline sponsorship from DeBeer Refinish, Octoral and SATA. Autostyl’s Anthony Fryett was declared that event’s overall winner.
Jurors have yet to select an overall winner for the South Africa event, which was held in Johannesburg this September.
Two more events will be held before the winner is declared at a final, to be held in September at Automechanika in Frankfurt, held Sept 9-12.
The fourth leg will be held at Automechanika Dubai will run from the 7 – 9 of June. The fifth leg will run at INA PAACE Automechanika Mexico City, which will be held July 22-24.
