Morgan Truck Body Showcases Class 4 Parcel Van Full-height Walk-through on Electric Chassis at NTEA Work Truck Week 2023

MORGANTOWN, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–At NTEA Work Truck Week 2023, Morgan Truck Body, North America’s largest manufacturer of light- and medium-duty freight and refrigerated van and truck bodies, will showcase a dry-freight Parcel Van Full-height Walk-through (PVW) body on an electric platform—the next-generation vocational solution for final-mile delivery fleets.

The Morgan PVW show truck features an EV chassis provided by Pritchard Commercial, and the joint project will be displayed at Morgan Truck Body’s Booth (#909).

The PVW truck body offers full-height walk-through capability and is designed for increased driver convenience and productivity. The PVW show body provides:

  • Easy access from cab to cargo area with a full-height sliding door
  • Translucent mid-panel roof that allows significant light while permitting less heat transfer than typical translucent roofing
  • Structural composite wall materials and isolated shelving mounts that reduce heat transfer from the body to the cargo
  • Specialized rear and side Morgan Maximizer doors for easy access via a convenient low-height step-up
  • Remote-control powered roll-up rear door
  • Standard folding shelving and Easy-Close HD folding shelving system options by Masterack
  • Enhanced safety with improved visibility utilizing Morgan’s Situational Awareness Package

“Our approach to innovation is to consider what the customer needs and then apply the technology and engineering to bring solution-driven designs to fruition,” says Tom Diez, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Morgan Truck Body. “Fleet owners asked for more cargo space, more driver convenience, and efficiency to streamline their operations. The Class 4 PVW is the culmination of listening to the voice of the customer and collaborating with OEMs and innovators like Pritchard Commercial. They understand the marketplace because they have a pulse on customers’ needs and requirements.”

“Electrification integration is challenging and requires the specialized expertise that Morgan Truck Body delivers,” says Ryan Pritchard, Chief Revenue Officer at Pritchard Commercial. “We have collaborated with Morgan Truck Body for more than 20 years. They are a top-tier integrator that understands customer needs and identifies solutions across the broad landscape of work truck applications. Their attention to detail, engineering expertise and product quality is evident on every aspect of the body.”
