Toronto, Ontario — In the aim to fill a long-term gap in automotive refinishing training, SATA Canada is gearing up for its inaugural 410N automotive painter class (Red Seal equivalent), set to kick off on Dec. 6 at the company’s Vaughan, Ont. training facility.
Open to new students and experienced painters alike, SATA’s new course will run over eight weeks and will be led by paint industry expert Rob Hill.
In SATA’s press release from Monday, the company said that it is “dedicated to addressing the skilled labour shortage in the refinish industry. It is our privilege to train the next generation of painters for a safe and dynamic career in an in-demand trade.”
SATA’s 2,500 sq. ft. training centre contains a commercial dual bay spray booth, prep areas and classroom that can accommodate up to forty people. A full range of SATA spray guns, filters, paint suits and CSA-NIOSH approved respiration will be also available to students.
